Relational Therapy for Trauma
You’re craving a space where you can show up just as you are.
You’ve given therapy a try before. It was a lot of talking about problems and maybe exploring potential solutions, but you never felt like you were able to actually get to the root of things.
You want this time to be different. You don’t want a handout of coping skills, or advice on what you should do. Instead, you’re craving a space where you can deeply explore the issues you’re facing and gain insight into how your past is impacting your present.
You want therapy sessions that:
Feel like a conversation with another human.
Get you out of your head and invite you to connect with your emotions.
Help you grow in self-understanding and self-compassion.
how i can help
Relational therapy can help you heal .
As a relational therapist, I approach therapy with the understanding that our earliest relational experiences set the stage for how we show up in relationships today - both with ourselves and with others. So with curiosity and compassion, we’ll notice patterns, explore their origin stories, and work together to help you reconnect with yourself and others in ways that feel authentic to who you are.
I care deeply about working with you to build a relationship that is safe, supportive, and collaborative. In our sessions, I’ll stay attuned to you, notice emotional shifts, and invite you to come into the present moment as we talk. In this way, my approach is experiential - meaning we’re not only focusing on the content of our conversation, but also on what’s coming up for you internally as we talk. I’ll support you in tuning into your emotions and your nervous system responses to help you move through difficult moments and connect to your needs.
While my practice is firmly rooted in a relational approach, I also draw from psychodynamic theory, parts/ego state work, and the connection between mind and body. I integrate these approaches to offer a therapy experience that is engaging and transformative.
Together, We will…
Lean into curiosity.
We’ll look at the challenges you’re facing with curiosity. This can take some practice, but I promise it’s worth it. Ultimately, using a lens of curiosity rather than self-judgement can lead you to a deeper, more compassionate connection to yourself and to others.
Explore past issues and current patterns.
We’ll work together to help you gain insight into how your past relational experiences are showing up in your life now. By gaining insight, you’ll be setting the stage to make the changes you want to see in your life.
Help you tap into a sense of empowerment.
You’ll get more in touch with your authentic self and have a true understanding of your own needs and wants. You’ll feel empowered to take action that feels aligned with who you truly are.
